Most dog boots fail for the same reason: they're too stiff. The dog lifts its legs like a show pony, then chews them off at the first opportunity.

These are built the other way around. The sole is soft natural latex with a crinkled, textured finish — enough grip for wet rock and loose gravel, but flexible enough that the paw still splays and grips the way it normally would. The upper is stretch fabric with a silicone print on the inside so the boot stays put without needing to be strapped on tight, and the opening is wide and soft-edged, which is the difference between a thirty-second job and a wrestling match.

Reflective trim runs around the cuff for early-morning and evening walks. A hook-and-loop strap does the rest.

Measure the paw, don't guess from your dog's weight. Lie your dog down so there's no weight on the paw, mark the tip of the longest toe (nail included) and the back of the pad, and measure the straight-line distance. Measure three times and take the largest reading.

Each pack contains 2 shoes. Most dogs need 2 packs. Measure front and back paws separately — if they come out a size apart, order one pack in each size.

Growing puppy? Size up one. Uneven paws on the same end? Go by the larger one.
